A Fun Fall Full of Connection, Innovation, and Elevation: IMEX 2024 and Post-FICP

This fall was a whirlwind for the Global Evento Sales team, filled with invaluable connections, exciting experiences, and a renewed focus on elevating how we do business. We kicked things off at the 2024 IMEX convention in Las Vegas and wrapped it up in stunning fashion at Post-FICP at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs. Both events strengthened our relationships and left us buzzing with fresh ideas and inspiration for the future of the corporate gifting industry.

IMEX 2024: Where the World of Meetings and Incentives Converge

IMEX has become a cornerstone for our sales team each year, and 2024 was no exception. Known as the Worldwide Exhibition for Incentive Travel, Meetings, and Events, IMEX brings together industry leaders, suppliers, and innovators from across the globe. For Global Evento, it’s an invaluable opportunity to connect face-to-face with both familiar colleagues and new clients, allowing us to solidify our role as a leader in luxury corporate gifting.

This year’s IMEX underscored the importance of in-person interactions in our niche industry. We partnered with Preferred Hotels and gifted beautiful hand-stamped Royce products to hosted buyers and clients. Over three packed days, we engaged in meaningful conversations about trends shaping the luxury corporate gifting landscape, such as:

  • Sustainability: A growing demand for eco-friendly gift options continues to guide our product development.
  • Customization and Experiences: Clients increasingly seek personalized and experiential gifting programs, a space where we thrive.
  • Operational Excellence: We were reminded of how the delivery and presentation of a gift can create an even more profound impact than the gift itself.

One of the highlights was exploring the vibrant cultural displays at the exhibitor booths. Each country showcased what makes its destination unique, from live performances and authentic cuisine to artistic and cultural treasures. It gave us plenty of inspiration for future destination-specific gifting ideas that align with our client’s global programs.

IMEX left us with renewed goals and excitement for the future. It’s always a thrill to see how much potential lies ahead in an industry that’s as dynamic as ours.

Post-FICP: Elevating the Experience in Colorado Springs

From the bustling energy of Las Vegas, we transitioned to the serene beauty of Colorado Springs as we partnered with Preferred Hotels for the Post-FICP event hosted at the iconic Broadmoor; this event provided an unparalleled setting to connect, reflect, and innovate.

Our time at Post-FICP was nothing short of magical. Surrounded by the stunning backdrop of the Rocky Mountains, we embraced every moment with a phenomenal group of peers and industry leaders. Highlights of the event included:

  • Airstream Gifting: The joy of gifting never gets old, and doing it out of our Airstream added a fun and personal touch to the experience.
  • AI Discussions: We participated in thought-provoking conversations about artificial intelligence and how to integrate it into our business processes. This game-changing dialogue left us energized about the possibilities ahead.  I even designed my very own logo using AI! 
  • Murder Mystery Dinner: Bonding over a thrilling (and hilarious) whodunit evening brought the group even closer together…my team won; we knew we couldn’t trust that lawyer and his story!
  • Pickleball Tournament: My competitive side was in full swing, but the camaraderie on the court made it all worthwhile.
  • Closing Dinner Party: The human claw game stole the show, serving as a reminder of how creativity and fun can transform any event into something extraordinary.  

Post-FICP reinforced what we at Global Evento hold dear: creating memorable experiences that bring people together. The event was a testament to the power of collaboration, innovation, and making each moment count…even when those moments fill 16-hour “work” days! 

Looking Ahead

As we reflect on this incredible month, we’re reminded of how far we’ve come and how much more we can achieve.  Whether at IMEX, Post-FICP, or anywhere in between, our mission remains to elevate the gifting experience and ensure every client interaction leaves a lasting impression. While our gifts undoubtedly create lasting impressions, our unique approach and how we deliver those moments truly set us apart.

With new insights, connections, and exciting ideas, we’re ready to take Global Evento into a very busy 2025. Here’s to what’s next and the people and experiences that make it all worthwhile.
